Dengjia Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Southernmost Anhui. The Dengjia Fm was named by the Anhui Party of Regional Geologic Survey in 1971. The typical section is located in Dengjia village, Qimen County, Anhui Province. Lower formation in Likou Gr.

Lithology and Thickness
The Dengjia Fm is subdivided into three lithologic parts. Lower part is composed of greenish gray to gray white low-grade metamorphic micro-conglomerate and phyllitic pebbly medium-coarse lithic arkosic sandstone intercalated with phyllitic sericite-slate. Middle part consists of greenish gray to dark gray sericite-slate and silty sericite-slate with fine horizontal lamination. Upper part of the formation contains yellowish to greenish gray thick-bedded coarse arkosic sandstone and pebbly macro-grained quartzose sandstone. The thickness is more than 222 m.

It overlies unconformably the underlying Shangxi Gr (Niuwu Fm)

Regional extent
Southernmost Anhui. It is well developed in Qimen County, Anhuia Province.
